Is Amber Portwood quitting Teen Mom because of Farrah Abraham?
Amber Portwood took to social media last night to announce that she has decided to quit Teen Mom.
In posts via Instagram and Twitter the Teen Mom OG star railed about being treated unfairly and getting disrespected.
Here are the tweets:
On Instagram she wrote, “I’ll be leaving #teenmomog sadly. The lack of respect is too much anymore! But still sending all my love!”
Amber then left the door open to possibly change her mind with an additional Instagram post that read, “You can’t force a person to show you RESPECT but you can REFUSE to be DISRESPECTED.”
A number of people who chimed in put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Amber’s costar Farrah Abraham. Portwood made headlines when she took a swing at Farrah during the taping of the reunion show after Abraham and Simon Saran “joked” about Amber’s fiancé Matt Baier being a pedophile.
While Amber didn’t single Farrah out directly, she did state that the disrespect had continued since the reunion show. She also retweeted someone who did infer that Farrah was the problem. “Totally not right nor fair!! You and Maci and catelyn deserve way better!!,” the tweet read.
With her final tweet of the evening Amber indicated that she’d return if she was given the respect she feels she deserves.
The day I'm shown some respect by the people I've worked with for 8 years is the day I'll be back. I've sacrificed a lot for this show. @MTV

Reading the tea leaves here it seems like Amber’s looking for the folks with Teen Mom and MTV to react accordingly to the things that Farrah has said and done.
UPDATE – More tweets from Amber about her decision to quit Teen Mom OG, including responses to lots of tweets about that MTV $$$:

@Kathlenekopp1 @MTV that is so untrue. Sweetheart I have plenty money and own 2 businesses. You just made a very ignorant statement.

This is not about just money. This is about respect among other things. If we reach an agreement on how to settle than I'm happy. Until then
