The possibility that Anna Duggar has forgiven embattled husband Josh and is prepared to share a home with him once more hangs over the Duggar family as TLC readies the second episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On. Several new reports indicate that Josh Duggar is indeed participating in sex addiction therapy, and has been for months–and that a recent visit by Anna Duggar began the healing process for the couple.
Josh Duggar, who has allegedly been “desperate” to save his marriage for weeks, is in treatment at the Reformers Unanimous center in Rockford IL. According to at least one report, Anna Duggar’s visit to Josh was good for the couple, as they “cried and prayed together” and Josh discussed why he cheated on Anna with porn star Danica Dillon. An insider claimed that “[Anna] believes everything Josh says. She actually thinks he’s getting better.”
The recently released synopsis for Jill & Jessa episode two has also fueled speculation about what Anna Duggar might (or might not) say. According to TV Guide, viewers can count on hearing from Anna, who was largely absent from Jill & Jessa episode one:
A baby-food competition is planned by Ben to coincide with Jessa’s coed baby shower, while Jill and Derick say good-bye to family and friends before they leave for their new life in Central America. Also: an interview with Anna Duggar.
Eagle-eyed fans have further pointed out that the synopses are hardly comprehensive. For example, the breakdown for the third and final episode of Jill & Jessa reads simply “Jessa and Ben have dinner with friends who have been through the adoption process.”
Though the bulk of TLC’s Jill & Jessa special was filmed before Anna Duggar’s alleged Thanksgiving visit to Josh, it’s possible that new footage was filmed and edited more recently. Last week, reports from inside the Duggar camp claimed that the family was fighting itself over Anna Duggar’s inclusion in Jill & Jessa, with some members stating flatly that she shouldn’t have been “paraded” in front of cameras in light of the ongoing Josh Duggar controversy, and others apparently happy that Anna was involved, since it meant “cashing a paycheck” from the network.
Jill & Jessa: Counting On episode two airs December 20th at 9 PM EST on TLC.
