Are Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay…getting married? The thought may seem like a stretch, which is exactly why the latest spate of gossip regarding the alleged couple has shocked so many onlookers. According to persistent rumor, the celebrity chefs are not only together–they’re planning a secret wedding and using decoy boyfriends and girlfriends to keep things under wraps.
If the rumors about Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay are true–and, mind you, you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get there–then these two are playing one of the deepest games in the history of celebrity fake-outs. There’s certainly no end to the allegations about them. Giada and Bobby were allegedly dating in secret all summer long, while they each went through a painful divorce. During those divorces, Bobby’s now-ex-wife Stephanie March accused her husband of a whole host of affairs, including one with Giada.
When both Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay became single, though, speculation mounted that they would take their relationship public. That speculation increased after Giada moved into a new LA-area house and Bobby put his New York apartment on the market, allegedly because he wanted to move out West.
But, when Giada’s relationship with current boyfriend Shane Farley went public, most observers assumed that the possibility of a Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay coupling were dead and gone. Indeed, the latest speculation has been about whether Bobby is actually the secret father of January Jones’ as-yet-unidentified baby, following a tryst the pair allegedly shared five years ago. in Las Vegas.
So–now that you’re all caught up on the gossipy history between these two, strap yourself in for the latest installment. According to several new reports, Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay are not just back together: they’ve been together in secret since at least the late summer…and are currently planning their wedding. Giada, 45, is apparently tired of all the sneaking around, and is “forcing Flay to put a ring on her finger and make it official.”
Another source claims that Giada is actually dating Shane Farley as a distraction from her real intentions, which are totally Flay-oriented. Furthermore, this week’s story about Bobby and January Jones is–again, according to the wedding rumors–actually a sort of double agent: the story, which claims that Giada is a decoy for Bobby’s relationship with Jones, is deliberate misinformation. Instead, the source says the opposite is true: Bobby is actually with Giada, and it’s the January Jones rumors that are false.
And, in a third report, Giada is said to be “counting down the days until Flay pop[s] the question and put[s] a ring on her finger”–which suggests that he hasn’t actually asked her to marry him yet, and shows just how wonky these Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay rumors are getting!
Of course, neither Giada nor Bobby have addressed the ever-widening circle of rumors about their relationship. And it’s unlikely that they’ll do so anytime soon…which means we can expect to hear more (and, possibly, even crazier) gossip about the pair as the year comes to a close.
