Big Brother 15 houseguest GinaMarie Zimmerman has been fired from her real world pageant coordinator job for racist comments she has made while being in the house. The company she’s worked for is appalled by her hateful comments stating that they’re shocked she’s not the role model for little pageant girls they thought she was. In perfect random reality symmetry, I came across the following video that GinaMarie Zimmerman posted to YouTube in which the now fired pageant coordinator featured on a suddenly controversial and popular reality show impersonates a young and famous lady who participated in beauty pageants and stars on a controversial reality show, Honey Boo Boo!
A firestorm has erupted inside the Big Brother house and it has nothing to do with alliances or showmances. Sadly, the headlines are coming from a litany of racist and homophobic statements made by the house guests and seen by fans and fan sites via the 24/7 live feed. We’re only into the first week of Big Brother 15 but the house guests have already made a few splashes, and some not in the way they or CBS would want. It’s a tangled web TV can weave and this post is about as good an example as I can think of. What had been rumored in Big Brother forums for a while was verified when it was announced last week that former winner Rachel Reilly’s sister, Elissa Slater, would be cast for season 15. While her relationship to the polarizing champ made most of the headlines, it turns out that sister Elissa has been on TV before. During a May, 2012 episode of Anderson Live about bridezillas, Slater won a trip to Mexico (if America’s votes have much influence – this could hurt her for sure). Watch Elissa’s past TV experience and let us know if you think that being Rachel’s sister (she says she doesn’t intend on hiding that fact if she’s asked) and having won a big prize via TV previously will hurt her chances in the game.
Yesterday CBS revealed the 16 cast members who will be living together in the Big Brother 15 house, at least one of which is no stranger to having her personal life broadcast to millions on the small screen.
