Unfortunately, it looks like the Big Ang cancer treatment rumors are true. According to a GoFundMe page set up by her family, the Mob Wives star’s cancer has returned, and Ang is back in the hospital. Chemotherapy is reportedly not doing much to fight back Big Ang’s brain and lung cancer, and she’s asking fans to help pay for alternative treatment in any way they can.
It was only a few weeks ago, during the Mob Wives Season Six premiere, that the Big Ang cancer treatment appeared to be working: Ang was in good spirits at the premiere party, and observers noted that she was looking forward to Mob Wives‘ final season. Angela’s cancer returned for the first time in December, but, at the time, all the Big Ang cancer treatment stories were positive, and the family scheduled chemotherapy.
Earlier today, though, Big Ang’s little sister Janine Detore set up the family’s GoFundMe page for Ang, in which she revealed the extent of the medical emergency:
Many of you know her as “Big Ang” of Mob Wives, but we know her as Angela our sister , mother, grandmother , aunt , cousin or just a friend. Angela is the 5th of 7 children mother of 2, grandmother of 6 and the friend of many . As you know my sister was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer. Chemotherapy was started January 5 th. On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change. We were advised that she would start immunotherapy the following week. Well here we are at the emergency room waiting to see why her breathing is labored and the amount of pain she is having is by far more than she could handle. So I suggested cannabis oil as an alternative. This is why I am putting up this go fund me to try to help my sister to get this oil to help her at least be pain free. Angela cannot function to work anymore. I’m not sure that it will work but I’m praying . We all thank you in advance for your prayers & kind wishes. Help Big Ang fight her BIGGEST BATTLE!

In what now looks like bittersweet news, it was only last week that Ang shared a post on Instagram revealing she’d become a grandmother again:
