Basketball Wives Jennifer Williams divorce

The above photo of Basketball Wives‘ veteran Jennifer Williams was taken during this weekend’s BET Awards show. Girl is flashing a big ol’ smile and now we might know why. She’s finally filed for divorce from her former NBA baller husband Eric Williams!

The Williams’ tumultuous relationship has been a focused plot line for the show and the two have been separated for quite some time. According to TMZ, Jennifer rained down the “D” pointer on Friday, filing them papers at the Hudson County Superior Court in New Jersey.

If you watch the show you know she didn’t need much of a reason, I mean the preview for Season 3 showed Williams checking out a dating site and commenting after viewing her options, ““I’d rather die alone,” but anyways she’s went the standard ‘irreconcilable differences’ route. She’s looking for alimony plus what the lawyers call “equitable” distribution of the couple’s assets. The two met in the Bahamas back in ’07.
