Love & Hip Hop Atlanta‘s Karlie Redd recently got together with Black Ink Crew‘s founder and CEO Ceaser Emanuel. The two apparently started seeing each other off-camera and on the DL, but decided to make things public a couple of weeks ago when they stepped out together for the red carpet grand opening of Ceaser’s Black Ink Atlanta studio. And, lest anyone think they were there simply as friends, Ceaser and Karlie were spotted “all booed up” throughout the event.
Shortly thereafter, they confirmed that they’re dating in a series of social media updates. They also shared another, far more interesting (and puzzling) piece of information, one they really didn’t have to reveal at all: Ceaser and Karlie Redd are celibate.

But, at the time, they didn’t explain why. And we still don’t *really* know, but we got a little bit closer to understanding in a new interview with Rolling Out-where the pair also say they “upgraded” from their exes. (It’s still worth pointing out that Karlie going public literally one episode into LHHATL’s new season–and with another star from the same network!–literally undoes her whole romantic storyline with Young Joc. But we digress.)
“We’re both West Indian and we just clicked,” Karlie said, addressing their initial attraction to each other. And yes, the rumors are true: “We’re doing something different and practicing celibacy.”

Ceaser, according to the publication, “didn’t seem to be on board for the celibacy journey.” But he confirmed that he and Dutchess are 100% done: “I’m not going back,” he said, adding “There are a lot of things I like about Karlie. She’s different from any girl I’ve dated before.”
Ceaser didn’t really go into specifics on that point–though there is the one major thing. If you’d like to judge just how into each other the two are for yourself, here’s a clip of the interview:
