Khloe Kardashian and James Harden ended a brief spell of breakup speculation by locking lips Houston-style as the curtain came down on 2015. The pair have been together for several months, though their relationship was initially marked by a spate of are they / aren’t they rumors, thanks to the instability of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s marriage.
Khloe began dating Harden, the Houston Rockets’ All-Star guard, around the time that Lamar Odom overdosed and suffered a seizure at the Bunny Ranch brothel in Nevada. When Khloe canceled the pending divorce between she and Lamar, it was initially believed that she intended to get back together with her husband. When Khloe explained that she only called off the divorce to assume control of Odom’s health, though, his camp slammed Khloe for “ditching” Lamar while still married to him. Though staying married was, in Khloe’s words, “the best choice at the time,” she’s been roundly criticized for dating Harden, and some onlookers wonder how involved she is in the day-to-day of Lamar Odom’s recovery.
Last week, Khloe’s detractors appeared to gain the upper hand, as rumors of a Khloe Kardashian and James Harden split were rampant. The pair appeared to put those stories to rest last night, however, when they were spotted locking lips with great intensity at a Houston club. It’s being said that Khloe intended to send a “clear” message that she’s still with Harden, and doesn’t mind that Odom is “her husband in name only.”
Meanwhile, Lamar Odom continues his recovery at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Odom is “still not ready” to move to a rehab facility, according to the latest Lamar Odom update, despite widespread hope that he would be out of the hospital by Christmas.
The report states that Odom is “still having issues remembering his own name, and the names of others.” Memory loss has been a problem for Odom since he was checked in to the noted Los Angeles medical establishment approximately two months ago–as has his speech, which remains “[un]clear.”
Odom had something of a breakthrough two weeks ago, when he recalled the name of at least one of his regular caregivers without being prompted, and began moving about his hospital room more freely–though he still requires a walker, Odom has taken a few steps at a time without it.
More recently, Khloe Kardashian made headlines by allegedly declaring that she needs to spend more time on herself in 2016.
