Looks like all those observers who criticized Khloe Kardashian for continuing her tour to support her newly released book Strong Looks Better Naked will be crediting karma very soon. Reps for Khloe just confirmed that the reality TV star has come down with a serious staph infection due to the amount of time she’s spent keeping watch by husband Lamar Odom’s bedside. Because of that–and because of the high-intensity nursing and promotional schedules Khloe’s been juggling–doctors have ordered her to cancel the remainder of the tour.
Earlier today, Khloe Kardashian was forced to cancel just a single stop on the SLBN tour, and tweeted out her apologies:
Dolls! So sorry I needed 2 re schedule my book signing. I’m sick &dr’s orders are that I need to lay low until we narrow down what’s wrong

At the time, it was thought that Khloe just had a case of high stress. However, tests came back positive for the ubiquitous Staphyloccoccal infection, and that was that for the recent high volume of press Khloe’s been doing.
Of course, many fans–and detractors–had been puzzled and upset about Khloe’s decision to do any publicity at all, in light of Lamar Odom’s ongoing medical crisis. While Odom’s condition is improving slowly, Khloe spent most of her time in the public eye answering questions about him, instead of promoting her book. Her Monday appearance on Ellen fueled speculation about the state of Odom’s health.
And, just last week, Khloe admitted that it was hard to get used to being on the road while her husband was ill back home. “It is very weird to be selling something or telling everybody ‘go buy my book’ when there’s very serious things happening in my life,” Khloe said. “Real life happens and nothing is going to stop. Your work can’t just stop. So we have to learn to juggle it all and still make time for yourself.”
