Update on Adam Lind and Chelsea Houska’s custody battle

Chelsea Houska and Aubree

In the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2, the primary conflict in Chelsea Houska’s life appears to be — once again — with ex-boyfriend Adam Lind.

“I’m going to walk out of the court room with custody,” Adam said in one preview clip.

In another, Chelsea explained that Adam was going for “50/50 custody” of their daughter, Aubree.

Fortunately for Chelsea, it seems Adam’s request will soon be formally denied: During a courtroom meeting in March, sources say Chelsea made a convincing case against Adam, who reportedly also wanted the right to drive with Aubree, in addition to having unsupervised visits.

“She brought up his long history of arrests and allegations of steroid abuse,” a source told Radar Online. Making matters worse for Adam, as we exclusively reported in March, he was actually arrested at the end of the meeting because of an outstanding warrant.

“At the end the judge told him he had a warrant for his arrest, and he was arrested then and there,” an insider told us, explaining Adam seemed surprised and irate.

During the March hearing, the judge agreed to reconsider the request in September. However, a source close to Chelsea said she isn’t worried.

“The judge knows that Chelsea’s a good mom,” the insider said. “Everything is expected to stay the same.”

Watch the battle play out on the new season of Teen Mom 2, which premieres on MTV on Thursday, July 9 at 10/9c.
