After an on-again, off-again relationship, Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon seem to have tied the knot. Bobbi — the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston — tweeted on Thursday night that she and Nick are “happily married.” She also shared a photo of their wedding bands and changed her Twitter name to “Bobbi Kristina H.G.”
Bobbi’s sported two bands around her engagement ring since September. Nick tweeted a clearer picture at the time, saying they “just upgraded.”
Based on its very foundation, Bobbi and Nick’s relationship has been complicated from the beginning: Whitney unofficially adopted Nick when he was 12 and raised him as Bobbi’s brother. Many years later, Bobbi and Nick faced family disapproval when their relationship turned romantic — which played out on The Houstons: On Our Own.
“We were best friends a long, long, long time ago and now I’m in love with him,” Bobbi said of Nick in 2012. “It was never anything that these people were saying, incest, none of that. And you guys can take my word for it.”
Bobbi and Nick initially got engaged in 2012, but broke up a few months later. They announced their re-engagement last summer.
If we are to believe Bobbi and Nick’s union is now official, there are a few lingering questions… Namely, when did they wed? That question becomes all the more complicated when considering Bobbi’s Twitter timeline: She called Nick the “best hubby” on Dec. 23, her “hubbs” on Nov. 17 and “hubby” on Oct. 27… But also said on Oct. 27 that she “can’t wait” to get two dogs “after we’re married.”
