Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes have re-written the playbook on celebrity headline grabbing combining being a train wreck with getting in car wrecks for a magic recipe of perpetual media coverage. Though Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter (and reality star) Bobbi Kristina Brown may have some catching up to do in the train wreck category, she has got the second part of the formula down pat!
The 19-year-old luckily emerged uninjured after driving her Chevy Camaro over a steep embankment near her apartment complex in Alpharetta, Georgia earlier today. From TMZ (click the link for photos):
Cops conducted an official accident investigation — and believe Bobbi Kristina simply lost control of her car while making a left turn out of her apartment complex … and drove over a curb and down an embankment, striking several small trees along the way.
“At 11:46 a.m., the Alpharetta 911 center received a telephone call from a passerby who advised us a black Camaro had left a roadway and had traveled down an embankment,” George Gordon, executive officer and public information officer with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said in an email to the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. “Our police officers assigned to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety arrived on scene and discovered a black Camaro with moderate damage. The investigation revealed the driver lost control and the vehicle left Beaver Creek Road on the east side and traveled down an embankment.”
The car finally came to a stop on a park trail at the bottom of the embankment. A passerby saw the damaged vehicle and called 911.
Police officials tell TMZ that it doesn’t appear drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, and Bobbi Kristina was given a citation for “failure to maintain lane.”
This is the third bashed up Bobbi Kristina Brown Camaro incident this year after she reportedly backed into Nick Gordon’s car earlier this month while trying to park, and then she was riding shotgun in a Camaro when she reportedly got into an argument with driver Nick Gordon and they crashed in September, causing a great deal of damage to the car.
To be honest, I’m beginning to think Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon have worked out a deal with TMZ where every couple months or so they bash up their car, take some photos, claim they were in an accident, and then sell the pictures to TMZ. A brilliant scheme really!
In other Bobbi Kristina news, it appears that she and fiance (and adopted brother) Nick Gordon have split. We think.
Nick seemed to make the break up announcement on November 18 with the tweet, “@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been.”
Oddly enough, later that night, Bobbi tweeted about spending some quality time with her bro beau: “Spending time together, sunday night football & Playing with our @nickdgordon new 3DS’s! Soooooo… Goodbye !!(:(:(: <3” And then, the next day, Nick bought Bobbi a puppy! She tweeted a photo of the little cutie and then shared her excitement on the way home: “Yaaay (: almost home with the puppppps(: & @nickdgordon (: this week is going to be a fun crazy filled week ! Phew ! Lol 😉 Xxxo”
Nick shared this next photo of his two cuties along with the caption, “Just bought @realbkbrown her a puppy Surprise.”
Despite the puppy gesture, people began commenting on the apparent split on Twitter and Bobbi reacted angrily (and rather unfortunately, as far as spelling goes): “Lol you ppl think you know it ALL. You, In reality, know not a DAMN thing about anything . #talkwhenyougenuinlyKNOWsomething. Dumdasses”
Then, on November 26, Bobbi Kristina posted a series of tweets that seems to confirm the break up with Nick Gordon. (Maybe she was just late getting the memo?)
