Time for a another dose of the morning after Teen Mom After Show and bonus footage break down. This week Catelynn discusses her love for Tyler and how their relationship has grown, Farrah lets us know what happen to those braces and Maci explains her frustrations with Kyle and Ryan. First up is the After Show in its entirety:
Farrah:
Farrah said she had braces for four months and that she couldn’t stand them. Now she wears retainers, she added that the braces made her look like a teenager and she wanted to appear grown up. Once again she talks about having to deal with her mom’s pressure to leave Sophia behind after being accepted to college in Florida. The insinuation that she can’t take care of her daughter makes her angry while at the same time makes her doubt her abilities as a mom. Farrah certainly feels that her mom oversteps her boundary sometimes and that her reason for wanting to keep Sophia was primarily selfish. Farrah is unapologetic in her own stance that it is best for Sophia to be with her.
Maci:
Maci gives Kyle all the credit for her to be able to follow through with her education. Kyle would take Bentley to the park so she could study, made her an office so she could study and would encourage her to get up and go in the morning. The fight with Ryan comes up next and she explains that her friends let her know that Ryan wasn’t spending time with Bentley when he was supposed to. Ryan’s argument that it doesn’t matter when Bentley’s sleeping if he’s out doesn’t hold water for Maci. She says he stays up until 10 and that Ryan often leaves to go out at 8 or 9 and that her son will learn soon that his dad is heading out without him.
She adds that it is not Ryan’s parents’ responsibility to raise Bentley when it’s his time to be with his daddy. She also states that Ryan goes out every night it seems. Maci then laid out all the things she told Kyle he would have to cope with when they began a relationship. These included; Ryan, taking care of Bentley, that she’s crazy hard on people, he’ll have to impress her and he’ll have to impress her parents. Maci was really upset that Kyle shared the fact that it was difficult for him to deal with Maci and Ryan’s relationship. She tells Pak that he knew all this in the beginning and that she gave him an easy out back then. Pak explains it’s never “easy” and Maci responded by saying, “Well easier.”
Catelynn:
Catelynn talks about her surprise ski trip with Tyler. She wanted to show Tyler how much he meant and she stated that it was a really good time. She said it was “freakin’ cute” that he called her his soul mate. She added that going through the process of adoption with Carly really strengthened their relationship, in fact Tyler said he first knew he loved her when he witnessed her being a mother with Carly. Catelynn thinks they would still be together if they hadn’t had a baby but she’s not sure. She concludes that they’re in a great place in their relationship and that they’ve learned to agree to disagree when it’s necessary.
This week’s bonus footage features Maci with her friend Ashton discussing her frustrations with Ryan always going out. She just doesn’t believe that Ryan does his share as a father when Bentley is with him. Maci regrets giving Ryan all the time from their mediation. She thinks it may be best for Bentley not to be around his dad so much because he may realize that his father is, in her words, a douche.
