For those One Direction fans holding out hope the band will get back together and/or becoming the future Mrs. Zayn Malik, your chances of both just went up. Zayn Malik has reportedly called off his engagement with fiancée Perrie Edwards.
People first broke the news, thanks to a source who reveals Little Mix member Perrie Edwards has “been putting on a brave face” while her band did promotional work, “but she’s obviously devastated.” The source adds that “Perrie’s being supported by her band mates, but she’s really in pieces about this.”
And speaking of Perrie and pieces, here she is wearing a two-piece bikini without her engagement ring in a photo shared by her Little Mix band mate Jesy Nelson on Monday:
In addition, here’s another photo of Perrie in a bikini with Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Perrie’s ring finger isn’t as clear–but it totally doesn’t matter:
“Phwoooaaarrrrr my WCW even though it’s not Wednesday,” wrote Jesy in the caption, adding, “my Perrie winkle!!!!”
According to People, the couple called it quits two weeks ago. That’s a little more than a week before Zayn announced he had signed with RCA Records, and said the reason he left One Direction was to make “real music”:

Now I guess we just wait to find out what the actual reason he left Perrie was–perhaps to make “real music” with someone else?
