The heart won’t lie…and, in Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock’s case, it’s causing them to separate after 26 years of marriage. The couple announced the decision in a joint statement via a spokesperson on Reba’s website this week:
Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other. They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time.
Even though the couple’s only son is an adult, they do have a few items to negotiate: for one thing, Narvel is Reba’s manager.
The divorce also means Reba will no longer be stepmother-in-law to Kelly Clarkson, who’s the wife of Narvel’s son, Brandon Blackstock.
