Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant star Ashley Jones is not one to hold back on expressing her opinion, even if it flies in the face of conventional scientific thinking. The 21-year-old mother of one took to Twitter on Sunday and surprised a number of her followers by revealing that she believes the world is flat, adding that most people only think it’s round because “the government and books” tell them it is.

Ashley kicked off the conversation by stating out of the blue: “The earth is flat. Don’t @ me.”

That brought out the Round Earthers, one of which replied: “You really are an idiot aren’t you?.”

Ashley kept things civil and explained: “You’re just not woke. Do a lil research.” She then called out those responding with negativity. “Soon as I say the earth is flat I’m a dumb b*tch. When there are scientist and millions of people who have been debating this topic for years. Do some reasearch [sic] and develop your own opinion. ?? mean ass people.”

Here is the rest of the conversation between Ashley and her followers, at least one of which came to her defense:

TWEET: Name these scientists who have proven that the Earth is flat please.

ASHLEY: I never said it was proven dear. But really what is PROVEN. When the government filters what info to tell us .

TWEET: Opinions are like a**holes, we all have one ?‍♀️

ASHLEY: Right so people shouldn’t be so angry right. My opinion hurts no one.

TWEET: Um no. You should’ve stayed in school.

ASHLEY: Graduated with honors baby

TWEET: Okay. So then you’d know the earth is not flat dear.

ASHLEY: No , you only know that because the government and books told you that. The same government that is in scandal almost everyday. Common opinion is easier on the masses. Don’t be rude tho. Do your round earth thing my friend ??

Ashley isn’t alone in the Celebriverse with her controversial opinion. She joins other Flat Earthers like NBA player Kyrie Irving, who made headlines back in February 2017 when he admitted during a podcast that he didn’t believe the whole global conspiracy thing.

Rapper B.o.B. is also a card-carrying Flat Earther, and he got into a rather infamous Twitter debate with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson over the matter.

And let’s not forget Tila Tequila, who not only believes that we live on a flat planet, but also that she is also a psychic inter-dimensional quantum-hopper.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
