Teen Mom 2 – Leah and Corey’s daughter Ali finally gets a diagnosis
After several years of tests and worry, Teen Mom 2‘s Leah Calvert and Corey Simms’ daughter Aliannah finally has a diagnosis that explains some the physical problems she’s been experiencing since soon after her birth.
Ali has a rare type of muscular dystrophy, a progressive disorder that will effect her for the rest of her life. “We never gave up, and we never will. We’ll do everything we can to make sure Ali has the life that she needs,” Leah told In Touch magazine. “We were scared because we didn’t know what her future was going to look like, but we always pushed for answers.”
As she gets older and grows, it will be harder for her muscles to support her body, and she will also have respiratory issues. To help better accommodate her needs, Leah and Jeremy are planning on moving to a bigger house. Back in August a source told Radar Online that they hope to get a place where they can keep horses, which could be a huge part of her therapy.
“Ali’s condition has brought us all extremely close together,” Leah told In Touch about her relationship with ex Corey Simms. “We have to stay strong for Ali, and things are going good.” Ali definitely has a large, supportive family to help her with the challenges she faces.
