Soulja Boy has officially quit LHHH–and promised greener pastures to come. The rapper, whose appearances for most of Season 3 have been minor, criticized the show in a pointed tweet: Love & Hip Hop Hollywood is “too ratchet” for his brand, which has become, in turn, too big for the show he’s been with since Season 1:
Soulja Boy was most recently in headlines a few weeks ago, when he announced that he was expecting a child with a woman whose identity he did not disclose. If his own show is in the works, on VH1 or elsewhere, we should expect plenty of baby mama drama from the Chicago-born performer!
And, while the tone of the above tweet might sound a bit negative, it’s worth pointing out that Soulja announced his departure from LHHH in the middle of a much longer burst of positivity and good vibes:
