In Touch Magazine Bruce Jenner Woman Cover

It turns out Bruce Jenner isn’t the only one who stands to be personally offended by In Touch‘s Photoshopped picture of his “transformation.” His picture was blended with a readily available image of Dynasty‘s Stephanie Beacham!

The original photo of Stephanie was taken in June 2013 at the launch of a BARREtoned studio in London. It’s in the first line of results for Getty Images’ photos of her. Buzzfeed was the first to notice the photo. Stephanie hasn’t commented on it.

In the actual story about Bruce’s supposed “Life as a Woman,” a source claimed Bruce will “come clean in 2015 about transitioning.”

“When Bruce goes public, he wants to go big and come out as a transwoman on the cover of The Advocate, the ultimate LGBT magazine,” the insider added. “He wants to look as glamorous as possible — full makeup with a bold wardrobe. He won’t live his new life in designer clothes like the Kardashian women. He just wants his first official portrait as a woman to be classic and memorable.”

However, Matthew Breen, editor-in-chief of The Advocate, rejected both the story and the cover photo as “distressing” in a statement yesterday. He added In Touch doesn’t have “any insider source with knowledge of The Advocate‘s planned coverage.”

GLAAD President Sarah Kate Ellis also spoke out against the story in a statement: “This nonsense has to end… Speculating about a person’s gender identity only inflames the invasive and gross scrutiny that transgender people face every day at school, at work, or even when just walking down the street.”
