When Melissa Gorga isn’t sparring with her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice over who has the most fabulous life, she’s pursuing an R & B career!
The latest Real Housewife of New Jersey is a stay-at-home mom of three who majored in elementary education, but is now focused on the ambition closest to her heart: a singing career. It’s probably safe to say that landing a gig on the Real Housewives ignited that old spark, but Gorga insists that being an chanteuse has always been her dream.
She’s recording a record with Keith “K-MACK” Boles, CEO of Asphalt Entertainment and we’ll get to see some of her endeavors on the show. Of course, it’s another source of tension between her and Teresa. In a promo voiceover for the season Melissa says that it’s a “crock of s**t that Teresa says she’s never heard her sister-in-law sing before.
Producer Boles met Gorga through mutual friends, and gushed to Radar Online about her talent:
“The goal is to try to give another facet to her personality and hopefully we’ll create something compelling. We’re already recording music. It’s a phenomenal, refreshing and surprising ability that she has.”
He went on to say that he couldn’t compare Melissa to anyone on the charts, because she has such one-of-a-kind feel-good music. That’s kind of the way I feel about “Tardy for the Party,” so if Melissa’s music is anything less than that gem, they’ve already set themselves up for failure.
Boles and Gorga are not only working on taking the R & B world by storm, they also are supposed to have an internet radio show on asphaltradio.com, though at the moment, I can’t find their show. As of May 22, 2011, Boles’ Asphalt Entertainment website is still under construction.
