UPDATE Full House’s Jodie Sweetin shoots down rehab reports

Jodie Sweetin Addiction Issues

There are reports that Full House cutie Jodie Sweetin checked into a residential rehabilitation program in California, but she responded to The National Enquirer‘s story by saying she is actually working for the rehab facility, not receiving treatment. “I work for the center and they have been really generous in helping me with a place to stay as Morty wanted me out by the end of the month,” Jodie told TMZ.

The National Enquirer claimed that the former child star was seen moving into a secluded compound that is leased by One80Center, a treatment facility. Jodie allegedly moved on July 27, which is the last day she’s been active on social media.

Jodie has publicly discussed her addiction issues with crystal meth, cocaine and alcohol. Following her role on the long-running Full House, Jodie descended into years of heavy drug and alcohol abuse. She claimed to hit rock bottom in 2008, when she was caught driving drunk with her baby daughter in the car. She boasted to morning television shows that she was sober that spring, but later admitted that was a lie.

“I was selfish, self-serving, insecure, angry and fearful person living a double life,” Jodie told Us Weekly in 2009. “I covered up my problems by pretending to be happy and saying that everything was fine.”

Jodie seemed to be doing better these past few years. She welcomed a second daughter in 2010 and married that baby’s father, Morty Coyle, in 2012.

However, Jodie shocked many by filing for legal separation after just one year of marriage. She also requested sole custody of their daughter, but has since reconsidered.

“Morty and I sat down and talked about it, so I’m seeking only joint custody now,” Jodie told The National Enquirer, adding that she’s uncertain of her relationship’s future.
