British actor Tom Hardy is known for playing some seriously dark roles like the masked Gotham villain, Bane, in The Dark Knight Rises. Well Tom was back in Gotham, but this time he was Hard-y-ly looking mean or threatening as he cuddled up with a seriously adorable puppy.
These photos were taken yesterday in Brooklyn where the 35-year-old was on the set of his upcoming film, Animal Rescue. The film, written by Denni Lehane, directed by Michaël R. Roskam, doesn’t have a release date yet.
Via IMDB the brief plot provided states that it’s, “A crime-drama centered around a lost pit bull, a wannabe scam artist, and a killing.” Please tell us it has this little sweater sporting antithesis of Angry Cat. That’s a bona fide bone-fetching Fido superstar!
The Los Angeles Times recently reported that veteran actor James Gandolfini will join Hardy and co-star Noomi Rapace in the cast.
