Kortney and Dave Wilson of Masters of Flip fame currently find themselves faced with an unusual problem: more time than they know what to do with. The couple is between seasons of their show, and, while the planning and prepping never really stops for reality TV stars and producers, the much-needed downtime means they can chill with their three kids (as they recently did, Mexican beach-style) and simply reflect on the world and their own good fortune, which Kortney did with her beautiful end-of-year recap for fans.
What else do Kortney and Dave have going on? For starters, here’s the heartfelt note of thanks Kortney offered the whole Masters of Flip crew upon wrapping Season 2 of the show just last December. Note that Kortney sneaks in the promise of more Masters of Flip with her final hashtag:

While HGTV hasn’t yet offered an official Masters of Flip Season 3 update, the show’s continued strong ratings make it all but a lock for renewal. It’s also worth pointing out that the network might be about to lose one of its flagship programs, depending on whether or not Flip or Flop‘s Tarek and Christina El Moussa decide to part ways professionally as well as personally. Given that uncertainty, it’s unlikely that HGTV is willing to cancel an up-and-coming show like Masters of Flip and let Kortney and Dave–along with all of their fans–sneak off to another network.
Since Season 2 wrapped, Kortney and Dave have kept busy with a variety of renovation-related projects, but have also left room for fun. Nowhere was that more evident than with this fantastic cake in celebration of Dave’s birthday–which cake, it should be noted, made an appearance on all three of the Wilsons’ Instagram pages. A tasty hat trick indeed!
In addition, now that filming’s done for the time being, Kortney and Dave are also regulars on the home improvement seminar and trade show circuit. Make sure you check out Kourtney’s home page and Instagram feed for news on where she and Dave will be appearing next–and, if you’re in attendance, look sharp, since Kortney is always filming little updates for her fans. (Some of whom have to brave more than others–as the posts below show, it’s a lot rougher to be in Cleveland in winter than Orlando!)
When should fans expect news about Season 3, either official or un-? Well, HGTV announced Season 2 in August of last year, and the first episodes premiered in October. But filming for Season 2 began well before that–and, as evidenced by the first IG embed above, wrapped while the new season was still airing. So, keeping in mind all of that, we should start to see cameras rolling in just a few months, even if the network doesn’t pass along its formal Masters of Flip Season 3 update until later 😉
