Giada de Laurentiis on tour: Celebrity chef announces buffet of promotional dates for Happy Cooking

Giada de Laurentiis on tour 3

Food Network star, Food Network Star host, and all-around celebrity chef icon Giada de Laurentiis is hitting the road. This fall, you’ll be able to see Giada de Laurentiis on tour all across America, promoting her newest cookbook, Happy Cookingwith a slew of signings and demonstrative events.

What can we expect from Happy Cooking? Says the publisher, the book “[picks] up where Feel Good Food left off. Filled with even more fresh recipes and day-to-day living strategies, the Food Network superstar shares her year-round approach to living a healthy and happy lifestyle.” Giada de Laurentiis’ new book comes out on November 3rd, which is also the night of the first show on Giada’s 2015 book tour.

And what can folks expect from a Giada de Laurentiis tour date? According to the press release, Giada will be joined by a moderator (supposedly, a different, regionally-relevant moderator for each city on the tour), and “will share her inspiration for Happy Cooking.” In addition, “an audience Q&A will follow each interview.”

There have been rumors of cooking demonstrations, as well, on most if not all of the stops on the Giada de Laurentiis tour. Those rumors haven’t yet been confirmed by either Williams-Sonoma, who’s publishing Giada de Laurentiis’ new cookbook, or by any of the venues Giada will be hitting up. Again, though, the tour doesn’t launch until November 3rd, so there’s still plenty of time for intriguing details to emerge.

And, of course, a ticket also gets you a signed cookbook. Not bad for showing off to your Thanksgiving guests.

So–what are Giada de Laurentiis’ 2015 tour dates? Here’s a full list of dates, cities, and venues:

November 3: Hartford, CT (The Bushnell)
November 4: Stamford, CT (The Palace Theatre)
November 6: Philadelphia, PA (Merriam Theater)
November 7: Washington, D.C. (GW Lisner Auditorium)
November 9: Boston, MA (North Shore Music Theatre)
November 10: Coral Springs, FL (Coral Springs CFA)
November 11: Atlanta, GA (Egyptian Ballroom)
November 12: Chicago, IL (Pfeiffer Hall)
November 13: Dallas, TX (Majestic Theatre)
November 14: Houston, TX (Cullen Performance Hall)
November 15: Mesa, AZ (Mesa Arts Center)
November 16: San Jose, CA (California Theatre)
November 17: San Diego, CA (Balboa Theatre)

The list is still missing a fair number of major markets. For example, Stamford is supposed to stand in for New York, but it seems inconcievable that Food Network wouldn’t want one of its biggest stars to promote a huge new product in the biggest market in the country. Los Angeles is also missing from the list of Giada de Laurentiis tour dates, as are notable foodie towns like Austin, Portland, Minneapolis, and Charlotte. Depending on Giada’s shooting schedule in early 2016, then, it seems possible that we’ll see a winter/spring tour for Happy Cooking as well.
