The Kanye West American Idol rumors are true: Yeezy himself dropped by the studio for a surprise audition this weekend, much to the delight of Ryan Seacrest and the rest of the Idol crew. Kanye was in San Francisco to perform at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser headlined by none other than President Obama. Kanye brought Kim and North along for the ride, and the trio decided to stop over at the American Idol auditions for a quick song or two.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Kanye West American Idol visit yielded a golden ticket for the Yeezster. Here’s Kanye whooping it up with Kim and Ryan Seacrest:
In an interesting bit of fortuitous multi-camera action, Idol host Ryan Seacrest shared the same moment from a slightly different angle via his Instagram account:
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian shared her own snapshot of the Kanye West American Idol visit, snapping a shot of the in-studio monitors during Kanye’s performance for all the world to see: 
And the official American Idol Instagram account shared a brief clip of Kanye emerging from the bowels of the studio, golden ticket in hand, ready for his big Hollywood closeup. Note the rare Smiling Kanye we get a glimpse of in the clip:

American Idol is currently auditioning for its 15th and final season, which will hit the airwaves in January of 2016.
