You take the good. You take the bad. You add a couple of decades and there you have The Facts of Life reunion at the 9th Annual TV Land Awards held at the Javits Center in New York City yesterday.
Hard to believe but Geri Jewell (Geri Warner), Charlotte Rae (Mrs. Edna Garrett), Nancy McKeon (“Jo” Polniaczek), Kim Fields (Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey), Lisa Whelchel (Blair Warner), and Cloris Leachman (Beverly Ann Stickle) were all on hand to receive The Pop Culture Award as representatives for the extremely popular 80’s show. Fields arrived a little late so she was unable to take a photo with the rest of the gals but don’t worry we wouldn’t leave you without Tootie!
The Facts of Life had an incredible run of success on NBC airing from 1979 until 1988. The show centered around character Edna Garrett as she became a housemother at the fictional Eastland School, a prestigious all girl boarding school in Peekskill, New York. The awards show will be airing this Sunday on TV Land at 9PM EST.
Dating myself a little here but my first TV crush was on Lisa Whelchel and here she is still looking fantastic:
