The Scream 4 movie premiere was held last night Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, and it brought estranged spouses Courteney Cox and David Arquette together in the same room. Our photo agencies didn’t have any pics of the pair together, but we they were photographed together smiling.
Arquette told Radar Online: “We’re best friends, we’re not together, we’re still separated… these tabloids make it like there’s some sort of scandal going on — there’s no scandal!”
There was a bit of a scandal at first, or at least a midlife crisis, when the pair split up last year amidst rumors that Courteney was a little fed up with parenting him. David went into an alcoholic and emotional bender, taping revealing interviews with Howard Stern, and partying in Vegas (almost) a la Charlie Sheen. By January of 2011, David had checked into rehab after an intervention by Courteney and his sister Patricia Arquette.
Though-out their separation, the two Scream 4 stars have never acted bitterly towards each other, and seem to still have a friendly relationship even though their marriage may be over.
