Leah Calvert reportedly had to pass a drug test during custody battle
Before settling her custody case with ex-husband Corey Simms in December, Teen Mom 2‘s Leah Calvert reportedly had to pass a hair follicle drug test.
“She was a nervous wreck,” a source told InTouch. “When the results came back, she was ecstatic.”
Earlier that fall, Leah was accused of being unable to “go a day without opiates” and of spending up to $1,000 per week on Vicodin, Lortab, Percocet and oxycodone. However, Leah’s family adamantly denied the claims.
“Tell them ALL even the so called damn family I said KISS MY A**! and if they don’t like that come on down to my damn house and GET THEM some,” Leah’s mom, Dawn Spears, said on Facebook in November. “They will need a more than a pain pill when I’m done they will get a whole CLIP full of pills! I’m tired of the bulls**t pill stuff.”
After proving she was clean with the drug test, the new source said Leah is fully committed to rebuilding her reputation: “She’s telling everyone she’s determined to make a complete turnaround. She’s ready to clean up the wreckage from her past.”
Along with maintaining custody of daughters Ali and Aleeah four days a week, Leah and Jeremy Calvert also showed they are on the road to reconciliation by celebrating New Year’s Eve together. She tweeted at the time, “I don’t know what I would do without this man in my life!”
She later suggested that maybe people should believe her side of the story more often…
I'm pretty sure I told everyone we did not split up.. Maybe some people will believe me. love you all
