Some women look at pregnancy as a nine-month excuse to binge on whatever satisfies their cravings, but Kim Kardashian says she isn’t one of them! Kim is intent on eating as nutritiously as possible, both for her baby’s sake as well as for her own post-pregnancy body. She has been keeping a “Mommy Blog” for Celebuzz, and in a recent entry entitled “Staying Healthy,” she discusses her pregnancy diet plan: “Keeping a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me and now it’s even more important because I am looking out for someone else’s well being other than just my own. I’ve been researching recipes and healthy eating tricks to make sure that I get the right nutrition now that I’m eating for two!”
Kim and her baby’s health are at the forefront of her mind, as she recently suffered a health scare. Just last week, Kim was rushed to the hospital after suffering a miscarriage scare. Fortunately, it was a false alarm. A source told New York Post that Kim’s doctors are ordering her to take it easy, saying, “Kim’s not respecting her pregnancy… She’s running around, working out seven days a week. She’s working with two different trainers to control her weight, including Tracy Anderson and a pregnancy trainer… She’s scared that her ass is as big as a couch and is going south… But she is having a very rough pregnancy, and doctors have ordered her to slow down.”
Kim discussed her changing body in a blog post before her miscarriage scare:
“For me, I’ve found that I’ve gained inches and I’ve gotten wider but my belly hasn’t popped yet, so I struggle finding things that don’t make me look heavy. Some days my baby bump really shows, and some days it doesn’t… so I never really know what I’m going to look like.
At this stage I guess I’m more focused on concealing the weight gain than I am about dressing the bump, just because it hasn’t popped yet . . . Once I start showing more I’ll be all about showing off my bump, and I can’t wait!”
Kim discusses her fitness regime in her “Staying Healthy” blog post, saying, “For me it’s about maintaining a well-balanced eating and fitness plan. My friend Harley Pasternak sent me this book and I am so excited to read it! The Body Reset Diet will give you the tools you need to restart the way you are eating and boost your metabolism. I love his recipes and I know you guys will too! Xo.”
Hopefully, although Kim wants to stay fit and healthy, she is not going overboard exercising and is following her doctor’s orders. It seems Kim has mellowed her pregnancy and diet approach; her blog post two days later was about having a delicious dinner at the Italian restaurant, Ferdi, in Paris. Let’s hope she indulged in a little pasta!
