Khloe Kardashian’s husband Lamar Odom traded to Dallas, reality show sure to follow
The Los Angeles Lakers have traded Khloe Kardashian’s husband Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks, ending weeks of speculation that once had Odom going to New Orleans for guard Chris Paul before the trade was nixed by the NBA.
Khloe took to Twitter after hearing the news, and although she seemed excited at first, her excitement was later tempered with a bit of sadness over the news:
After that, Khloe’s tweets seemed to turn to a “When God gives you lemons…” and “everything happens for a reason” sentiment:
I’m sure we can all look forward to watching the couple’s marketable (albeit mostly not real) “shocking adjustment” from Los Angeles life to the stereotypical Texas lifestyle in the upcoming season of Khloe & Lamar on E!, although they might be changing the title to Khloe & Lamar Take Texas.
In addition to the “change in lifestyle” for the Hollywood couple, moving to Dallas seems to be a potential positive because of the city’s recent emergence as a mecca for cable reality series. Over the last year or so The Big D has spawned the Bravo reality shows Most Eligible Dallas and played host to Top Chef: Texas as well as being the backdrop for other cable network efforts such as A-List Dallas, Texas Women, and Big Rich Texas.
For basketball fans more interested in the trade than the impact on Khloe’s life and television show, the Lakers received the Dallas Mavericks’ 2012 first round draft pick in exchange for Odom. You can read more about that HERE.
