Kendra Wilkinson thinks everyone should leave Jessica Simpson alone about the baby weight

From almost the moment Jessica Simpson gave birth to baby Maxi over two months ago, tabloids have been raging about she’s struggling to lose her baby weight in order to fulfill her reported $4 million Weight Watchers deal. Every week seems to bring a new narrative about how Jessica just can’t seem to make it to the gym or stop eating so much.

Now reality star, and fellow mom, Kendra Wilkinson is saying “Enough!” with the Jessica Simpson weight shaming, and we have to agree with her.

Kendra, who documented her own struggle with losing post-partum weight loss through her E! reality show and the tabloids, told Yahoo OMG!

“That just breaks my heart. I feel for her. I was in the same boat. People just need to mind their own business. That’s a woman who just gave birth. Her first priority right now is her child. Her first priority is not losing the weight. You should be proud of her for that. A lot of people just dump their kids off at nannies and lose the weight overnight. We should all be proud of her for being real and taking control and making priorities.”

In 2011, Kendra told ABC News about her body image struggles post pregnancy:

“I looked in the mirror and I said, ‘I’m fat.’ I blew up like a blowfish,” said Wilkinson, adding that despite revving up her workouts, she just wasn’t dropping the weight the way other celebrity moms had. “I will admit, I was jealous after giving birth to my baby and I started seeing Kourtney Kardashian losing all that weight really fast.”

In Hollywood it seems like women will be smaller than they were before they got pregnant within two weeks of giving birth, but that sort of fast weight loss isn’t reality for most people. Most stars and models have trainers and dieticians working with them constantly to help them lose the weight, and most of the time the women are honest that they melted the pounds off so quickly by barely eating. Jessica is dripping in money and has all the privileges of other Hollywood stars (including a multi-million dollar endorsement deal,) but she seems to be taking care of herself and losing weight slowly. She’s been hitting the gym regularly. Jessica recently told People,”It would be nice to feel comfortable in a bikini, but that’s not my goal. I just want to fit into jeans!”

The main thing is that Jessica’s enjoying a happy and healthy new baby girl, and that’s what really matters.

Two weeks ago Jessica tweeted: “Just so everyone knows…Weight Watchers hasn’t put ANY pressure on me!” she Tweeted. “I’m trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!”
