Jillian Michaels on motherhood — “Son of a b***h, this is hard!”

Jillian Michaels is tough as can be with the contestants on The Biggest Loser but when it comes to motherhood, she hasn’t quite mastered the art. In a new interview with Fitness Magazine, she’s admitting that being a parent is one of the toughest jobs she’s ever had. It’s not easy being a mommy and for Jillian, it’s the balancing of her mommy duties with her full-time job that’s most challenging.

“I get up at 7 a.m. — after being up all night with the baby — and run around trying to get both kids diaper-changed, dressed and fed,” Jillian reveals to the mag of her daily routine. “Finally I’ll shower, and before I know it, I’ve got 50 e-mails to answer, and I need to leave for work. At the end of the day, I come home, and I’m like, ‘OK, let me bathe you, change you, feed you, read you books, put you to bed’ — wait, how am I supposed to do all this? Son of a b***h, this is hard!”

Jillian adopted her first child, a baby girl named Lukensia, from Haiti in 2012 and also has a son, Phoenix, who was born to partner Heidi Rhoades that same year.

One of the hardest things Jillian is currently dealing with is her daughter’s need to do everything on her own. “Everything right now is ‘Lu do, Lu do.’ She wants to do everything herself, but it means you have to sit there for 20 minutes while she tries to put on a shirt,” Jillian explains. “It kills me because I’ve got to go to work. Heidi gets mad at me: ‘How else is she going to learn how to put on her shirt?’ or ‘Don’t rush her — you’re rushing her!’ It’s brutal, but I’m really trying. I guarantee it’s going to be their number one issue in therapy.”

Despite her troubles, Jillian is as happy as she can be with her family. “Every day I tell myself how blessed I am. I have a great life. I can’t b***h about it, because this is what I wanted,” she says. “I just thought I’d be able to manage it better. ‘My new motto is “As long as I’m winning more than I’m losing, I’m still winning!'”

Jillian recently returned to her gig on The Biggest Loser after a two-year hiatus.
