Jenelle Evans book title, details, cover, and pre-order link!
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has been talking about publishing a book for quite a while, and now we finally have the title, cover, and a release date — in July!
The book is titled Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, and it will be published on July 25. (Click the link to pre-order your copy from Amazon now!) “Jenelle Evans shares the raw emotional stories of her youth that helped shape the woman she has become, all drawn from her childhood diary.” That’s the brief description from the publisher Post Hill Press, the same publisher that released books by Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra, and Kail Lowry. Here is the long description:
From her appearances on 16 and Pregnant and then Teen Mom 2, Jenelle Evans’s life was put on display for all to see, and all to judge. Everyone thinks they know her, but what the audience can’t see runs deeper than what is left on the editing room floor.
What of Jenelle’s complicated life before her newfound fame? An overbearing mother. Erratic siblings. A father who didn’t seem to care. Though there was no camera to capture those difficult moments, there were, thankfully, a few well-kept diaries. Join Jenelle as she tells her story through the eyes of her troubled youth, taken from her memories that were scrawled across the pages of her own diaries.
About the Author
Jenelle Evans first appeared in the reality television program 16 and Pregnant and then went on to star in the follow-up series Teen Mom 2. She is a model and an actress, but above all else, Jenelle is a mom. Originally from Pennsylvania, she now lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, with her three children. You can keep up with Jenelle at: @PBandJenelley_1 and jenellaurenevans.com.
Tonia Brown’s short stories have appeared in a variety of anthologies. She is the author of several books, including Sundowner, Badass Zombie Road Trip and the Skin Trade series. She lives in North Carolina with her genius husband and an ever-fluctuating number of cats. When not writing, she raises unicorns and fights crime with her husband under the code names “Dr. Weird and his sexy sidekick Butternut.” You can learn more about Tonia at toniabrownauthor.com.
Followers of Jenelle are well aware of her childhood diaries — she has referenced them many times. She even posted this excerpt on social media a while back:
“Omg I just sent this pic to my mom lmfao,” Jenelle wrote in the caption. “A page out of my diary back in 2004 when I lived in PA and was ‘grounded’ lol.”
We previously posted about Jenlle’s book back in 2015, including the diary excerpt above, and at the time we came up with a list of potential titles. Unfortunately — or perhaps fortunately for Jenelle — she didn’t take any of our suggestions. Here they are, including our book cover concept for the last one:
My Dramastical Life
You Seen Me With Kieffuh!
The Girl With the Leopard Tattoo
DUDE!
That’s Why I Got All These Feathers In My Hair, For This Book
Congratulations to Jenelle on her book! Of course we look forward to reading it and finding out more details about her childhood with Babs and her siblings.
