Jenelle Eason’s ex pal Kaylin Zorich arrested for larceny and forgery
A former friend of Jenelle Eason was arrested in Brunswick County last week and faces charges of larceny and forgery of endorsement. 26-year-old Kaylin Zorich, who made headlines back in 2011 when she revealed in a tabloid interview that Jace’s father probably wasn’t Andrew Lewis because he was in rehab at the time, was booked on Wednesday when she posed in front of the all-too-familiar Brunswick County Jail booking photo backdrop.
According to online records, Kaylin faces a single misdemeanor charge of larceny and three charges of forgery of endorsement — which appear to be felonies.
The arrest on Wednesday is just the latest trouble for Kaylin, who has been in and out of jail repeatedly since 2011 with a list of charges (some of which were later dismissed) that includes: drug possession, child abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia, cyberstalking, exploiting or disabling an elder’s trust, breaking or entering, and simple assault. Amazingly, most all of those charges look to be from 2017.
In case you don’t remember, Kaylin spoke with OK magazine and revealed that Jenelle got pregnant right around the time that Andrew Lewis was in rehab for alcohol abuse. Kaylin claimed that Jenelle was hooking up with a man named Stephen Fullwood, who was seeing Jenelle’s best friend Tori Rhyne at the time. “Jenelle thinks Jace’s father might be Stephen, but she doesn’t want Tori to get mad at her,” Kaylin said.
Kieffer Delp also spoke with OK and seemed to back up Kaylin’s claims.
The article really angered Jenelle and triggered one of her very first social media meltdowns that would later become commonplace. In addition to posting Kaylin’s phone number, Jenelle also called her a “heroin crackhead” before posting a mug shot photo of Kaylin from a previous shoplifting arrest. Jenelle chastised Kaylin for that arrest before adding: “not to mention violation of probation for failing a drug test which tested POSITIVE for heroin. Stayed in jail for 20 days…I’ve never been in actual JAIL in my life. Just in the holding cell for a couple of hours.”
In a shocking turn of events, Jenelle later confirmed Kaylin’s story! “I told Kaylin my secret becuz I THOUGHT SHE WAS MY TRUE FRIEND,” Jenelle admitted in a frustrated rant.

As Teen Mom 2 viewers are aware, the question of whether or not Andrew Lewis is Jace’s father became a central story line on the show much later. Andrew expressed his doubts that he was the dad and conceded to taking a paternity test, which confirmed that he is Jace’s dad.
Getting back to Kaylin’s most recent arrest, I think it serves as a sobering reminder of the kind of environment Jenelle was enmeshed in when she first appeared on MTV — and for years after. It is nothing short of shocking to me how many of her former (and current) acquaintances have been behind bars multiple times, including Jenelle herself. I assume that Jenelle would be the first to agree that she would be in a much, much worse situation right now if it had not been for MTV.
I’m not normally one to jump on any sort of bandwagon when it comes to a reality series showing a particular town or area in a bad light, but I will forever be nothing short of scared to travel to Brunswick County! I realize that it is an irrational fear, but still. And it doesn’t help that I was looking into Jenelle’s recent road rage incident and saw a local news headline revealing that a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested the day after Kaylin and charged with drug possession and distribution, in addition to stealing badges, an identification card, and other uniform equipment from the Sheriff’s Office!
Oh, and speaking of Jenelle’s road rage incident, let me share a bit of that story to further support my aversion to Brunswick County. The man Jenelle was following says he called ahead to warn his family that he was being followed. “My son was outside waiting in an azalea bush, he was armed, my wife was pulling in, she was armed, my cousin was out there and they were armed,” the man said. When he was asked about the potential of David Eason returning to his property for revenge, the man didn’t seem too worried. “We done took measures, if that son of a gun comes in here he won’t make it out.”
