Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson football photos from high school yearbook
If you’re a Duck Dynasty fan then you’re probably aware of Phil Robertson’s prowess on the gridiron as quarterback of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the late 1960s, but did you know that Phil’s little brother Si was no stranger to handling the pigskin? That’s right! Ol’ Uncle Si Robertson followed in his big brother’s cleatsteps at North Caddo High School in Vivian, Louisiana where he wore the same #10 and was listed as an “end.”
The photo above is Si Robertson as a junior, obviously well before the beard. Here’s a closer look at the beardless young Si both as a freshman and a junior:
Here are a couple photos of Si Robertson in his football uniform posing for team photos as a junior (top) and a freshman on the freshman squad (bottom):
In addition to football, Si was also a shop foreman in the Industrial Arts & Engineering Club, which I’m imagining was a group of young fellas not too disimilar from those at Duck Commander HQ.
(That’s Si in the back)
For those of you with short-term memory issues, here are a couple side-by-side photos of Si Robertson now and then:
How in the world did I get through this fun post without once writing “Happy happy happy?” Oh wait, I just did! 🙂
You can catch Si and the rest of his bearded quack dealing brethren and their gaggle of gorgeous gals every Wednesday night at 10/9c on A&E!
