Lady and the Tramp was originally released June 22, 1955 by producer Walt Disney and Buena Vista Entertainment. It’s the classic story of a girl who falls in love with a guy from the wrong side of the tracks. Lady is a pedigree Cocker Spaniel living in a luxurious home, and Tramp, true to his name, is a homeless mutt. Although Lady had been spoiled, she was was dealing with abandonment issues after her owners get pregnant and start paying less attention to her. Tramp is a bit of a player, and rumor around the other strays is that he’ll be unable to settle down, but throughout some very stressful hijinks, SPOILER ALERT, he finds love with Lady and her family. Maybe he was just a gold-digger!
