CONFIRMED Murder Chose Me Season 2 gets the green light from Investigation Discovery
Rod Demery fans, your weeks of agonized waiting have come to a close: Murder Chose Me Season 2 is officially happening! Entertainment industry trade publication Deadline announced the news earlier today, revealing that Investigation Discovery has picked up its newest first-person detective dramatization series for a second run of ten episodes. The new season is slated to air in 2018.
Murder Chose Me star and lightning-fast Twitter user John Nicholson, who portrays Detective Rod Demery on the show, was the first among its principals to share the good news. In fact, Nicholson was so quick that he beat Jupiter Entertainment (the show’s production company) and the official ID and ID UK accounts off the block:
It's official, #murderchoseme is back for season 2❤️❤️@rdemery @DiscoveryID @DiscoveryIDUK #IDaddicts. https://t.co/vMoBcmL3cv

But it is worth noting that Jupiter teased the possibility of good news about Murder Chose Me Season 2 in an exchange with a fan just two days ago:
@DDMcG72 @rdemery @JohnNicholson71 We are SO glad you enjoy the show! #staytuned 🙂

We should note that ID choosing to pick up Murder Chose Me Season 2 isn’t a *complete* surprise. The show just wrapped up one of the most successful debut seasons of any of the network’s offerings: by the season finale, it had worked its way into the top 10 most-watched shows on cable when it aired on Wednesdays. And since then, as Nicholson also recently noted, Murder Chose Me has begun airing in several international markets, including the UK, South Africa, and Nigeria.
Of course, that doesn’t mean the news isn’t cause for celebration! Congrats to John, Detective Demery, and everyone associated with the show–and cheers for another great run of episodes!
