It’s been two years since Chip and Joanna Gaines announced their Magnolia House bed & breakfast; since then, the B&B has been so hard to book that it’s basically Waco’s answer to Hamilton. (Which, coincidentally, the Gainses also got to experience at the Super Bowl this year.)
So, in something of an attempt at giving more fans an Instagram-worthy Magnolia experience, the power couple of HGTV just announced the Fixer Upper Hillcrest Estate: a second Magnolia B&B, this one in downtown Waco, with booking expected to open up soon. The photo at the top of the article is the front of the stately home, which dates from 1903. Magnolia just updated the “Stay” section of its site with a bit more info on the home, and a handful of photos, some of which you’ll find below:
Hillcrest Estate is a beautiful, historic home in the heart of Waco, Texas that was stuck in a time gone by. A renovation by the Magnolia Homes team infused fresh, updated features with the home’s original details and character. This home sleeps 12 comfortably, making it the perfect place to gather with friends and family for a weekend away.
Devoteés of Joanna’s style and of the whole Fixer Upper lifestyle will be delighted to know that, since it looks like you have to book the entire seven-bedroom house all at once (which is also the case with Magnolia House), you get free reign over this designer kitchen:

We are now opening another vacation rental! Chip and I had so much fun restoring this old Waco icon and cannot wait to welcome guests starting this fall. This house dates back to 1903 and we definitely kept its old world charm—our hope is that friends and families from all over can make lasting memories here during their visit to Waco.
