Chris Brown wanted for assault and battery after pickup basketball game turns into brawl
Chris Brown has run afoul of the law again. The troubled performer is wanted for participating in a basketball court brawl in Las Vegas last weekend, where Brown was holed up to make a series of appearances related to the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.
According to police, Brown and his entourage were playing basketball at the Palms Casino Resort at three o’ clock in the morning. A fight broke out, and Brown punched a 25-year-old man, who has chosen to remain unidentified. When the man tried to defend himself, Brown and a third party ganged up on him.
Of course, Brown denied that that’s what happened. His rep used some rather euphemistic language when describing the incident: “An unruly individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises.”
This is at least the eighth time that Brown has been in trouble with the law in some form or another in the past three years. It was at his house party that Suge Night was in a shootout last summer; a year ago he was sent back to jail after violating probation; before that, he was kicked out of rehab for destruction of property; he was arrested for assault outside the W Hotel in Washington DC a couple of autumns ago; he’s been charged with a hit-and-run; he assaulted a woman outside of a nightclub; he stole a fan’s cell phone to keep her from posting pictures of him on the internet. And on, and on. And that’s not even counting the Rihanna assault, which happened all the way back in 2009.
