The Brown family from the hit reality TV show Sister Wives has filed an appeal with the United States Supreme Court to hear their case for legalizing polygamy. Family patriarch Kody Brown is legally married to Meri and cohabitates with his other three wives, Janelle, Christine and Robyn. In April an appeals court upheld a unique provision in Utah's law that restricts this practice. This action overturned a previous decision in which a court ruled the Utah law violated the Brown's rights to religious freedom and privacy.
