Beyonce looked stunning in an Elie Saab Couture gown for her self-direced HBO documentary Life is But a Dream at the Ziegfeld Theater on February 12 in New York City.

Beyonce has often kept silent about her private life, even trying to keep her marriage to Jay-Z a secret for a while. Even the most private celebrities usually issue statements about milestones like that, and often provide pictures. In this documentary Beyonce says she’s opening up quite a bit, and getting over some of her fears of exposure.

She told Access Hollywood:

“Mystique is very important… It doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity — just as a woman — I think it’s important. But, at the same time, I felt like it was time for me to share my story because I’ve been through so much and I have so much to celebrate, so much to share.

There is something really powerful and liberating and freeing. I feel free…I feel like I’ve been able to heal from a lot of things because of this film and editing this film. And I’ve learned so much about myself, having to watch hours of footage of my life and my mistakes and things I did right and it just really has been an incredible learning experience.”

In other Beyonce news, Donald Trump has been scandalized by her Superbowl half-time show. He told Howard Stern:

“When Beyoncé was thrusting her hips forward in a very suggestive manner, if someone else would have done that it would have been a national scandal. I thought it was ridiculous… I thought it was not appropriate.…”

Life is But a Dream premieres February 16 on HBO. The next night, February 17, Beyonce gives an intimate interview on Oprah’s Next Chapter.
