K. Michelle returns to Love & Hip Hop, leaves the ATL behind for Hollywood glam
There’ve been rumors about K. Michelle and Keyshia Cole being related for years. The two women, who’ve befriended and beefed with each other in about equal measure, aren’t blood relatives, but they now share one uncommon trait: both have (allegedly) been cast members on Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.
We say “allegedly” because the official cast list for LHHH Season 5 won’t be announced for several more weeks. However, according to multiple new reports — and some heavy-handed hints on K. Michelle’s Twitter feed — it looks like the former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star is returning to the reality TV franchise, in order to fill the void Keyshia Cole left when she quit the show following Season 4.
A couple of weeks ago, K. Michelle got her fans buzzing with a few seemingly innocent tweets about “filming” for an undisclosed upcoming project:
I start filming again tomorrow. I haven’t filmed in so long. I’ve been so quiet and private about my life so it’s a bit nerve wrecking right now. I’ve tried to lay low but now i’m back in the trenches. Nervous butterflies

Tour Rehearsals tomorrow&filming and then its back on the road until March. Sheesh. I really love meeting my Rebels but that road can get lonely and long. I’ve been quietly working on something very musical for you guys so I’ll allow the writing to keep me company on the tour bus

Then, a few days after that, she revealed that some pettiness had gone down on set:
Awful! They always come for me. When they salaries are only 2k a pop https://t.co/e5EaF13v4u

It didn’t take long for the source of the disturbance to be revealed. Only hours later, K. Michelle got into a twitter spat with A1 and Lyrica Anderson, who became main cast members on LHHH last year.
If she is joining the show, K. Michelle will have her work cut out for her. In addition to Keyshia Cole’s departure, OG cast member Masika Kalysha has reportedly quit the show after being granted a mysterious contract release (something that’s yet to be confirmed).
And Hazel-E, fired late last year for making a string of homophobic comments, already landed a new gig with the new season of Iyanla Fix My Life, on OWN.
(Coincidentally, the new season will also feature K. Michelle’s former lover Memphitz, who was last in headlines with K. Michelle after she allegedly lied about suffering domestic violence at his hands. The reality TV carousel can get a little dizzying sometimes.)
Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Season 5 is filming now. New episodes are expected to drop in summer 2018.
