It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! Kim Kardashian is officially a mommy. The Kourtney & Kim Take New York star and her rapper beau Kanye West welcomed a baby girl into the world this morning in Los Angeles. According to reports, the baby is both healthy and happy.
E! News reports that Kim delivered her daughter naturally on Saturday, June 15, at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, five weeks before her due date. Despite the baby’s early arrival, she is doing just fine. A source confirms that Kayne was by her side during the delivery.
A second report by TMZ states that Kim began having contractions of Friday night but didn’t go into labor until early Saturday. Last night, Kim had informed Kanye that she was “feeling a little off” which led to him canceling his appearance at his album release party to be by her side.
So far, the baby’s name hasn’t been announced but E! claims that the family was told weeks in advance that it will start with a “K” and possibly likely include “Donda” as the child’s middle name in honor of Kanye’s late mother.
“I’m so excited we’re having a girl,” Kim said during a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “Who doesn’t want a girl? I think they are the best. I know that’s really what Kanye has always wanted – he wanted a little girl.”
