The second season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York premiered on Sunday and on Wednesday Kourtney Kardashian announces she is pregnant. And this comes just weeks after Kim ends her marriage to Kris Humphries after only two and a half months. Has there ever been a better marketing machine than the Kardashian family in the history of the world? I don’t even think Andy Warhol could compete!
As far as the baby news, the announcement came via a cover story (ch-ching) in this week’s issue of US Weekly. The tabloid features a rather lovely photo of Kourtney with the big, bold headline, “YES, I’M PREGNANT!” The full headline is actually, “Kourtney Kardashian tells Us, ‘Yes, I’m pregnant!’ How she and Scott went from separate bedrooms to expecting baby No. 2 – and why she still won’t marry him.”

The E! reality star, 32, took a pregnancy test about five weeks ago — and woke up Disick, 28 (not a morning person!), around 7.a.m. to tell him the positive results.
“Now I’m nine weeks along,” Kardashian tells Us. “You’re supposed to wait 12 weeks to tell people, but I feel confident.”
I’m guessing the “early” announcement had more to do with KKTNY than feeling “confident,” but either way – congrats to Kourtney and Scott! Despite my growing lack of give a darn for the Kardashian clan, Kourtney has always seemed to be a good mom to little Mason Dash Disick. Although, I don’t know about her new “mommy blog,” the first installment of which was a bit condescending in instructing young mothers how they SHOULD be raising their child. (Oh, and gee what a coincidence that Kourtney started a weekly mommy blog last week, just before announcing she’s pregnant again! I’m telling you, these Kardashians are going to take over the world before they’re done!)
All is relatively quiet on the Twitter front, although Kim has offered her congratulations:

Masey is going to be a big brother! We are all so overjoyed by this wonderful news and are counting down the minutes until we get to meet the newest member of our family. Kourtney is the greatest mom in the world and I am so proud of the woman she has become. I can’t wait to see her with a kid in each arm! She’ll be a pro. LOL. And if this next baby is anything like Mason, then we will truly be the luckiest family in the world.
