PEOPLE reports that we’ve lost another sassy Golden Girl. Rue McClanahan (76) passed away this morning at 1 a.m. after suffering a massive stroke, her manager Barbara Lawrence confirms.

Rue, who suffered from a minor stroke this January, had her family with her during her final moments.

Betty White (88) is the only surviving cast member from the beloved 1980s Golden Girls sitcom, which is still wildly popular in syndication. Rue played the saucy Blanche Devereaux, who taught us all that older girls really do have more fun in the sack.

Rue on Blanche:

“Blanche is a role model. She’s free. She follows her own rules and moves to her own drummer. She had a wonderful, optimistic outlook. She was sort of like Scarlett O’ Hara, saying, ‘Oh, well, tomorrow is another day.’”
