Big news makeup fans! Kylie Jenner’s makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics, will soon be available at brick and mortar Ulta stores nationwide. The announcement came earlier this week when Kylie tweeted:
I’m so excited to let you guys know that @KylieCosmetics will be coming to all @ultabeauty stores around the country this holiday!… More to come…
Kylie’s makeup line is currently only available online. Demand for lip kits, highlighters, and eyeshadow pallets are so high that people often camp out by their computers to place orders, deal with low inventory levels, and wait for shipping. Having instant access to Kylie Cosmetics will be a game changer within the beauty community.
Ulta echoed Kylie’s statement by telling People, “We are pleased to confirm Kylie Cosmetics will launch exclusively in all Ulta Beauty stores and online this holiday season. While this is all the information available at this time, we will provide more details closer to launch.”
Ulta currently has 1,124 stores in 49 states.
After the announcement was made, Ulta’s stock went through the roof. Their share price peaked at $268.88– a 52-week high for the retailer who had a “mixed fiscal second-quarter earnings report” according to CNBC.
Forbes recently reported that Kylie Cosmetics has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup in just three years! Half of that, about $330 million, was generated in 2017 alone. It’s estimated that the makeup brand is worth close to $800 million.
There’s no doubt that a successful partnership with Ulta will help pave the way for Kylie Cosmetics to become a billion dollar brand.
