I’m sure the Steampunk subculture has been waiting for this forever!
Justin Bieber’s music video for “Santa Clause is Comin’ to Town” is knee-deep in steampunk style! Bieber has jangly thangs all over his old-timey vest, he’s got a wind-up mechanical girl wearing a metal hoop skirt, there are gears EVERYWHERE and Biebs and his back-up dancers get to spice up their choreography with a some janky mechanical moves.
This video was put out for the blockbuster kids’ movie out now called Arthur Christmas (about Santa Claus’ son.)
Is Justin Bieber gonna do for Steampunp what Evanescence, and Twilight did for goths?
