I have no problem with Valerie Bertinelli getting engaged to her man Tom Vitale, but I do have a problem with the fact that this bit of information is coming from AARP! You want to talk about feeling old, how about when you realize Valerie is 50 and she announces her engagements through AARP Magazine. In the interview it seems like Bertinelli is really in a great place now:
“I’ve never had a male friend like I have with Tom…Mature love doesn’t mean you have to be mature all the time — we definitely have our immature moments,” she continued. “But when disagreements come up, we’re able to talk in a way that’s not attacking, and we’ll still love one another.”
Yeah but can “Mr. Mature Love” shred like your ex Eddie Van Halen? I don’t think so sister. I do have to admit that as far as growing older and keeping your looks Valerie has got Eddie beat by a mile. To prove my point AARP (man Valerie in AARP) has a great video of her photo shoot:
Yeah Valerie has still got it going on like Donkey Kong (kept it 80’s there for you). The two met back in 2004 after their previous marriages ended. Valerie has recently been part of a national campaign for Jenny Craig in which she lost nearly 40 lbs and has since kept it off. She also recently completed the Boston Marathon in 5 hours and 14 minutes and is set to star in a new show on TV Land called Hot In Cleveland (which also features the unstoppable Betty White).
Tom is some rich dude who invests in stuff but has never melted faces with a sub-atomic six string back turned to the audience guitar-god solo while David Lee Roth dangles above 20,000 screaming fans.
