Teacher Andria James arrested with three kids in trunk of car
Police in La Vergne, Tennessee say they have arrested teacher Andria James on charges of reckless endangerment after it was reported that she had three kids in the trunk of her car.
According to DNJ, the police received a concerned call Sunday evening from a gas station. When they arrived, they found James with three kids, ages nine and ten, in the trunk of her vehicle. In addition, police say they found six other children in same age range in the cab of the car.
Parents of the children were called to pick up their kids. James was arrested and booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. She was released from jail on $1,000 early Monday morning, according to jail records.
According to FOX 17 News, she faces 3 counts of reckless endangerment.
In early December she made a couple of Facebook posts about being “at the doctor getting my emotions checked out.”
James’ Facebook page says that she is employed at Alex Green Elementary Impact School (unverified). DNJ adds that “police were not aware what school district James works for and that she is not an employee of Rutherford County Schools.”
UPDATE: Via DNJ, police have said she told them that she is employed at Alex Green Impact School.
