If the latest “Lamar Odom Keeping Up With The Kardashians” rumors are true, the former NBA star will indeed return to the show…but he might be doing so against his will. According to the latest rumors, Kris Jenner snuck a few hand-held cameras into Lamar’s hospital room in order to film him for the show, despite Khloe Kardashian’s fervent wishes to the contrary.
A new report has raised eyebrows across the Kardashian universe: namely, that Kris Jenner decided to go ahead and snag some footage of a recovering Lamar Odom for the forthcoming season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians without the explicit approval of Khloe, who’s been acting as Lamar’s caregiver. Khloe withdrew her request for a divorce from Lamar in order to oversee his recovery (and make sure he received the very best care the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has to offer), but has reportedly been so worn down from her round-the-clock duties that she was unable to keep the “Lamar Odom Keeping Up With the Kardashians” return rumors from coming to fruition.
According to that report, a family insider with knowledge of the situation confirmed the surreptitious shoot. “The family filmed with their crew [this week] in Cedars Sinai,” said the insider, who asked to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of the situation. “They used hand held cameras and wires and just went for it.
“It’s so sad he is doing this,” commented the same source, who was under the impression that Lamar had agreed to the shoot.
However, a second source suggested that Lamar’s consent, implied or merely taken, had nothing to do with the shoot: Kris Jenner simply wanted to get as much footage as she could, and worry about the rights later. Said a second insider, “[Lamar] isn’t signed up for the show or anything, but that doesn’t matter to them!”
That report jives with a second dispatch from Cedars-Sinai, which stated much the same situation: Lamar “pleaded” with Khloe to keep him off the show, but Khloe, distracted by her many responsibilities, was likely not around when filming took place.
Khloe has been feuding with Caitlyn Jenner over Caitlyn’s disapproval of the pair’s relationship; her beef with Kris Jenner, though, is a new one.
However, there is good news to be had from Lamar’s current situation: Lamar is off of all life-support machines, and has begun trying to walk on his own.
